2026 Bighorn Mountain 3D ShootJoin us for one of Wyoming&rsquo;s premier mountain archery weekends at the beautiful Bear Lodge Resort in the Bighorn Mountains above Dayton, Wyoming! Whether you&rsquo;re a seasoned competitive archer, a dedicated bowhunter, a traditional shooter, or introducing your family to the sport, the Bighorn Mountain 3D Shoot offers something for everyone. Spend the weekend shooting professionally set 3D animal targets through the scenic forests of the Bighorns while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow archers from across the region. Compete in Open, Bowhunter, Traditional, or Youth divisions on our Competition Course, or enjoy our Fun Course designed for families, beginners, and anyone looking for another fun round of shooting. New for this year, the top five shooters in each competitive division will advance to the exciting Championship Shoot-Off at Bear Lodge, where spectators can watch the best archers battle it out for the title. The weekend is about more than just scores. Enjoy novelty shoots, family-friendly activities, raffles, great prizes, and a welcoming atmosphere that celebrates Wyoming&rsquo;s rich bowhunting tradition. Hunting quivers (including Quivalizers), rangefinders, and hunting accessories are permitted. Rear stabilizers and magnified target scopes are prohibited. No target style stabilizers over 12&quot;.Traditional - Open to longbows and recurve bows only. Shooters must use a finger release and may not use sights or mechanical release aids. Elevated rests, plungers, clickers, and string walking are permitted.&nbsp;Youth - 12-16Cub - 11-8Pewee&nbsp;7 and younger Shooting ScheduleSaturday:- Course Open: 8:00 AM &ndash; 2:00 PM- Scorecards Due: 5:00 PM- Shoot off starts: 5:30 PM- Monster Shoot - Starts after the shoot off (approx 6pm)Sunday:- Course Open: 8:00 AM &ndash; 11:00 AM- Scorecards Due: 2:00 PM General Rules:Violation of any of these rules may result in disqualification or removal from the shoot at the organizers&#39; discretion.- Crossbows are not permitted.- No alcohol is allowed on the course or may be consumed prior to shooting.- Shoot only the course(s) for which you are registered.- Rangefinders are permitted in all divisions unless otherwise noted.- Field points only. No Broadheads allowed on the course.Course Etiquette:- Maximum group size is 4 shooters. Violation of this will result in disqualification of competition.- Shoot only one arrow at each target from the stake designated for your class.- You must be touching the shooting stake when the arrow is released.&nbsp;- Keep pace with the group ahead of you. If your group falls behind, please allow faster groups to shoot through when it is safe to do so.- Score arrows promptly and move to the next target to help keep the course flowing.Safety:- Do not approach a target until every shooter in your group has finished shooting.- Report any damaged targets, unsafe conditions, or other course issues to tournament staff as soon as possible.- Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.- Dogs are welcome but must remain under control at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.- Please help keep the mountain clean by packing out all trash.Sportsmanship:- Be courteous and respectful to fellow archers, volunteers, and spectators.- Honest scoring and good sportsmanship are expected at all times.- Tournament officials reserve the right to make final decisions regarding scoring, safety, and rule interpretations.
