Attendees will get the chance to help choose their favourite beers and all proceeds from the event will help fund Surrey Fire Fighters&rsquo; Charitable Society youth initiatives.&nbsp;- Admission ticket includes ALL your beer samples and a souvenir tasting mug! &nbsp;No annoying beer tokens needed.- Bringing empty refillable water bottles is encouraged. <h1>BATTLE OF THE BREWS</h1>AN AFTERNOON OF BEER TASTING, FOOD TRUCKS & MUSIC AUGUST 20, 2022 The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society and 102.7 THE PEAK are hosting the 4th Annual Battle of the Brews on Saturday August 20 at Surrey City Hall Plaza from 1-5pm (doors open at 12:30).  This fun charity event will offer attendees a great afternoon of craft beer tasting and food trucks while listening to 102.7 THE PEAK Alternative Vancouver.  Attendees will get the chance to help choose their favourite beers and all proceeds from the event will fund Athletics 4 Kids and Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society youth initiatives. - Admission ticket includes ALL your beer samples and a souvenir tasting mug!  No annoying beer tokens needed.- Empty resalable water bottles are encouraged. There is a free water refill station on site.- Food trucks are extra, but there will be light complimentary snacks available.- There will be a 50/50 draw, raffle and donations accepted on site by card or cash. About Athletics for Kids:  A4K’s overarching goal is to be there to assist any B.C. child in their dream of playing amateur sports. We want all kids to have the opportunity to play.  Hundreds of children and youth are denied the opportunity to participate in amateur sports due to one simple fact: lack of funds. Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society share this goal and our experiences running youth programs has taught us that all kids need help and support and someone who believes in them. For the first time in Surrey&#39;s history, the Surrey Firefighters and Surrey Police will settle the score where it belongs: on the ice. On Friday, October 10, South Surrey Arena will host an unforgettable night of hockey, community, and friendly rivalry as two of Surrey&#39;s frontline services face off for city bragging rights. While the competition will be fierce, the real winners will be the people of Surrey. Proceeds from the event will go directly back into our community through the Surrey Firefighters Charitable Society and Surrey Police, supporting local programs, community initiatives, and families in need. This is more than just a hockey game. It&#39;s an opportunity to meet your local heroes, cheer on your favourite team, and be part of a historic event that has never happened before. Doors open at 6:30 PM, with puck drop at 7:00 PM. Arrive early to enjoy the beer garden, try your luck in the 50/50 draw, and take part in fun games and activities throughout the evening. During the second intermission, the excitement continues as bands from the Surrey Firefighters and Surrey Police take to the ice for a unique Battle of the Bands, adding another chapter to this friendly rivalry.
