Surviving Cruelty Animal Rescue

Surviving Cruelty Animal Rescue is dedicated to saving dogs from euthanasia and providing a safe haven for trauma survivors. Through compassionate support and donations, we ensure they receive medical care and a chance for a better life.

Please help raise money for Surviving Cruelty Animal Rescue (SCAR) to help Ace/Stitch get the continued treatment he needs. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Some of you know this baby as Ace from Carson shelter and some as Stitch. This poor baby can’t seem to catch a break. He’s had a rough life and needs help now more than ever. He was dumped in the streets, listed for euthanasia in the shelter, adopted out but sadly his life did not get any easier or better from there. His health significantly declined and sadly his house was never really a home. He was brought to us in rough condition. In just a few weeks with us he has had multiple vet visits including surgeries and when things were finally looking good for him he woke up with his back legs numb. He is now suffering from IVDD. We rushed him to the vet where he got an MRI done and stayed on crate rest for a week. He was heartbroken, terrified, and in pain wondering what he did to deserve this. The founder personally took him in and kept him on additional crate rest. Sadly Stitch had too many damaged areas down his spine and was not a candidate for surgery. The good news is there were no ruptured areas making him a candidate for chiro and therapy. As a small rescue this is not something we were prepared for so we ask the community to help him get the medical treatment and any future supplies he needs. You can also donate to the rehabilitation place directly by calling them Tsavos Rehabilitation 619-846-9531 and let them know you would like to donate a session to Stitch with Surviving Cruelty Animal Rescue

🚨 URGENT: Freddy Needs Your Help 🚨Many of you know and love Freddy, one of the very first bulldogs our rescue fought so hard to save.Freddy's journey has been anything but easy. He survived abuse while living in a homeless encampment. He survived the euthanasia list at SEAACA. He survived being failed and abandoned by people who promised to save him. Before joining our rescue, he was known as Meatball, but together we gave him a second chance and a new beginning. It has taken Freddy a long time to finally feel safe, loved, and secure.Today started like any other lazy day. I stepped out to run a quick errand, and when I returned, I found Freddy terrified and struggling to breathe. Without hesitation, I rushed him to the emergency veterinary hospital.Freddy has now been intubated and placed on oxygen and IV antibiotics while the veterinary team works to determine exactly what is happening. Doctors discovered a large mass near the back of his throat, close to his trachea, and he remains hospitalized for further evaluation and treatment. As you can imagine, emergency veterinary care is incredibly expensive, especially late at night. We never hesitate to give our dogs every chance they deserve, but we can't do it without your support. Please consider making a donation to help cover Freddy's emergency medical care. Every dollar, every share, and every prayer means the world to us and to Freddy.Freddy has beaten impossible odds before. We're asking you to help him fight once again.❤️ If you're unable to donate, please share this post. Your support could help save Freddy's life.Thank you for standing beside Freddy and our rescue family. We will continue to update everyone as we learn more.

She was abandoned after being used for breeding. Now she’s safe with Surviving Cruelty Animal Rescue, but her healing—medical care, food, and a gentle place to rest—depends on community support. 🐾 Rue, affectionately known as "Pumpkin," is a sweet English Bulldog who desperately needs medical attention after surviving a life of abuse and neglect. She was used solely for breeding and then abandoned for three months alongside two other pups in a backyard crate. This poor baby suffers from a horrible bladder and uterus infection, as well as multiple attack wounds and small lacerations around her body. She requires surgery as soon as possible. Yet, despite the immense pain she has carried, her gentle spirit which remains fully intact. She is finally ready to close the door on her dark past and embrace the bright, beautiful, happy life she was always meant to live. Now safe in the hands of Surviving Cruelty Animal Rescue, she needs our collective blessings, prayers, and support to step into a healthy future. Be Her Blessing Today! Please help her to truly begin her new life; her abused body must first heal.
