Teddy Golubowski III Memorial Foundation

The Teddy Golubowski III Memorial Foundation honors Teddy's legacy by providing financial support to police academy recruits, helping them achieve their goal of serving the community through law enforcement training.

On behalf of the family and friends our beloved Teddy, we are excited to announce the 1st Annual TGIII Golf Outing on Thursday September 10th, 2026 at Shark River Golf Course in Neptune City, NJ!&nbsp; Schedule as follows:7:30am: Registration / Light Breakfast9:00am: Shotgun Start2:00pm: BBQ Lunch / Awards / Speeches&nbsp; All proceeds from the outing will support the TGIII Memorial Foundation, which provides scholarships to police academy recruits as they pursue their training.&nbsp;The Teddy Golubowski III Memorial Foundation financially supports police academy recruits going through training and celebrates the life of Theodore John Golubowski III.&nbsp;As of 8/31, we are officially full for golfers for our 2026 outing. Official Mission Statement:&ldquo;Advancing and supporting law enforcement and those pursuing the goal of becoming law enforcement.&rdquo;&nbsp; Teddy&#39;s LegacyTeddy grew up in Toms River, New Jersey. He held a lifelong passion for sports, including football, and was a loyal teammate and a natural leader. In March of 2025, Teddy entered the Ocean County Police Academy, where he excelled both academically and physically. He served as Class Leader, and up until the week of his diagnosis, he was fully dedicated to his goal of becoming a police officer and serving his community. On May 27th, 2025, Teddy was admitted to the emergency room, feeling fatigued, pale, and unable to shake a recent cold. Just a few hours and a few scans later, it was clear that he had multiple malignant masses on his liver, lungs and abdomen. On June 3rd, 2025, just a week after his diagnosis and awaiting his pathology results, Teddy&#39;s condition took a turn for the worst. The masses on his liver and lungs began bleeding, and it quickly became clear that he was in critical condition. With the help of many, Teddy was transported via helicopter to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.&nbsp; On June 26th, 2025, just under one month since his diagnosis, Teddy passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends. &nbsp; Inspired by the outpouring of support from family, friends, and even complete strangers received during Teddy&#39;s illness, Teddy&#39;s family and friends established the Teddy Golubowski III Memorial Foundation. The Foundation seeks to honor Teddy&#39;s memory and legacy by providing financial support to police academy recruits going through the academy.&nbsp; Those who knew Teddy remember him for the quiet ease with which he lived. He was honest, humble, and always kind. When life was unfair, Teddy never felt sorry for himself, but simply shrugged off any obstacles or misfortunes and kept moving. He was a good man and a valuable friend, and he touched many lives through the kindness that came so naturally to him.
