Your voice becomes part of the Texarkana Historical Society and Museum&rsquo;s ongoing work to preserve and share our region&rsquo;s past. Use this form to sign up for a time to share your history. Oral History Drive

The Texarkana Museums System invites you inside one of Texarkana&rsquo;s most recognizable historic homes. Walk the halls, hear the stories, and see how everyday life once looked in our community.&nbsp; Also included in your tour for July, enjoy the Moments That Made Us exhibit to celebrate America250. Including local and national stories that helped shape our region and nation. &nbsp;This is exhibit is provided thanks to a generous grant from Texas Humanities. &nbsp; Your registration helps the Texarkana Historical Society and Museum preserve local artifacts, share exhibits, and offer educational programs for all ages. Thank you for supporting the history we hold in trust for future generations.&nbsp;

Ace of Clubs Tours July 2026

Join our Historic Book Club as we explore The Ledwell Family, a story about one of Texarkana&rsquo;s most influential families. We&rsquo;ll connect scenes from the book with real moments from Texarkana&rsquo;s past, sharing discussion, questions, and local history in a relaxed setting. Living History: Moments That Made Us &ndash; America250 invites you to explore the stories, artifacts, and everyday people who shaped Texarkana and our nation. Thanks to our partnership with Texarkana Repertory Theatre we will be presenting a special living history to celebrate the last 250 years of our local and national history.&nbsp; Use this form to register for the event, share your connection to local history, or ask about bringing a class or group. Your participation helps us preserve and share Texarkana&rsquo;s heritage through exhibits, educational programs, and community events.&nbsp; Tours are 30 about 30 minutes long and begin every half hour. &nbsp;Please specify your desired time when you register.6pm, 6:30 pm, 7pm, 7:30 pm

Join our Historic Book Club as we explore &quot;Under the Light of the Fireflies,&quot; by Lee Sander a story that echoes the everyday lives, landscapes, and memories our museum works to preserve.&nbsp; This novel is geared toward children ages 14 plus.&nbsp; So please share with the children in your lives.&nbsp;&nbsp; We&rsquo;ll connect scenes from the book with real moments from Texarkana&rsquo;s past, sharing discussion, questions, and local history in a relaxed setting. ✨ Your registration helps the Texarkana Historical Society and Museum continue preserving stories, artifacts, and community memory for future generations.

Historic Book Club June: Under the Light of the Fireflies

Join local designer Brent Stewart for an evening of summer/patriotic wreath making. &nbsp;The project will take place at the Ace of Clubs carriage house and will include a tour of the Ace of Clubs House. Learn simple, hands-on techniques to create a seasonal wreath you can take home. As you work, you&rsquo;ll hear stories that connect these traditions to Texarkana&rsquo;s past, reflecting our mission to preserve and share our community&rsquo;s history. Your registration helps support exhibits, educational programs, and ongoing care of the museums.
