The Tombossa B Scholarship Foundation empowers Eritrean and East African youth through scholarships and mental wellness programs, honoring the legacy of Tombossa Negusse by opening doors to education and community support.

An evening for the next generation. Two years ago, we gathered to honor Tombossa Negusse and launch a foundation in his name. Tombossa fled war in Eritrea as a teenager, earned his degrees in Oklahoma, and built a life in Dallas defined by family, enterprise, and generosity. He dreamed of opening doors for young people in our community. This November, we celebrate how far that dream has already come. Our first scholars, Mattania at SMU and Elim at Texas Tech, are now in college, and our community continues to invest in the future of Eritrean and East African youth. Join us for dinner, music, a silent auction, and words from the students whose education your support makes possible. Why it matters. Every ticket supports our scholarship and mental wellness programs. Our scholarships provide $2,500 to $5,000 per student each year, and this night helps fund our next class of scholars. Good to know

Dress code: Cocktail attire. Traditional Eritrean and East African dress is warmly welcomed.

Dietary needs: Let us know at checkout.

Can't make it? You can still be part of the night: sponsor a seat for a student or family, or donate at https://tombossabfoundation.org/gala Come dressed up, come hungry, and bring someone who should hear this story. We can't wait to celebrate with you. The Tombossa B Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The portion of your ticket above the value of the dinner and drinks you receive is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
