Dance in the Dark: World Cup Edition&nbsp;&nbsp;&ldquo;One Game. One Rhythm. One Love.&rdquo; The world is coming together for the World Cup &mdash; and so are we! Join We Can Dance for an exciting inclusive dance social filled with rhythm, culture, connection, and community as we celebrate through music and movement beyond sight. Dress Code: Wear your favorite World Cup team jersey or country colors.&nbsp; Sighted attendees are encouraged to dance blindfolded as we shift the focus from appearance to connection, trust, and feeling the music together. &nbsp;DJ Charley Mystro will keep the energy high with Bachata, Kizomba, Kompa, Afrobeats, House music, and global hits inspired by countries participating in the World Cup. Move as one.&nbsp; Join We Can Dance ATL for a 6-week Bachata dance class series starting May 3rd&mdash; bringing together the blind, visually impaired, and sighted community on one inclusive dance floor.&nbsp; Bachata is a social partner dance and music genre that&nbsp;originated in the&nbsp;Dominican Republic&nbsp;in the early 1960s. Once a marginalized &quot;street dance,&quot; it has evolved into one of the most popular Latin dances globally with multiple styles (Dominican, Modern and Sensual). And it&rsquo;s not just about dancing &mdash; you&rsquo;ll&nbsp;make new friends with amazing dancers, build community, and enjoy&nbsp;snacks provided at each class. Imagine a dance floor where every step you take helps create connection, opportunity, and belonging for someone else. Join us for Dance in the Dark: Groove to Give Festival, a unique celebration of music, community, and impact. Enjoy immersive workshops in Kizomba, Kompa, Bachata, and Line Dance, followed by an unforgettable social dance experience. To help everyone experience dance beyond sight, blindfolds will be provided for workshops and social dancing, inviting participants to connect through trust, rhythm, and movement in a whole new way. Hosted by We Can Dance, a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of blind and visually impaired individuals through accessible dance education, social connection, and economic opportunity, every ticket purchased helps support programs in&nbsp;Atlanta, Dallas, and San Francisco. Last year, together with our partners, we reached 260 participants, hosted 6 Dance in the Dark socials, and created paid opportunities for blind and sighted instructors and DJs.
