LXCL:WhenWeLove serves youth, single-parent families and Veterans experiencing and recovering from homelessness. We believe homelessness should be short term and temporary, and we are teaching people how to Beat Homelessness. Beyond serving immediate needs (food, water, clothing, etc.) we use a relational approach that builds trust, restores dignity and hope as we walk with people on their journey of healing, recovery and self sufficiency.

Meet Annelise Gruebmeyer - Continuing a Twelve‑Year Tradition of Hope and HydrationAnnelise has always had a heart for people experiencing homelessness. From a very young age, it would nearly break her heart whenever she saw someone without a place to call home. She would often ask her parents thoughtful, heartfelt questions, trying to understand why people didn&rsquo;t have a home and wondering what could be done to help. Her compassion has never been about feeling sorry for others,&nbsp;it has always been about wanting to make a difference.Over the years, Annelise has put that compassion into action by serving in ministries at her church that focus on caring for people experiencing homelessness. These experiences have deepened her desire to serve others with kindness, dignity, and love.Now, Annelise is honored to continue the Annual Water Drive that Drew Thomas faithfully led for the past 12 years. Inspired by Drew&rsquo;s example of serving others with kindness and purpose, she is committed to carrying this meaningful tradition forward by helping provide one of life&rsquo;s most basic necessities,&nbsp;clean drinking water&nbsp;to our neighbors experiencing homelessness.Every bottle of water represents more than hydration; it is a reminder that someone cares. While immediate assistance is important, lasting change requires more than a meal, a bus pass, or a temporary solution. People need a place where they can find encouragement, support, guidance, and opportunities to build a better future. That is why we are creating the Dream Center Fort Worth. With the property already secured, we are launching a campaign to transform this facility into a centralized hub of hope and restoration where individuals and families can access practical resources, life-changing support, and pathways toward long-term stability. The Dream Center will expand our current outreach programs while creating new opportunities for people to overcome barriers, reconnect with community, and move forward with dignity and purpose.
