A unique day at Bomber County Gateway Trust&#39;s Celebration Day to commemorate the official opening weekend of&nbsp;&quot;On Freedom&#39;s Wings&quot;. It&#39;s an event like no other, and we want you to be there! 🎉 This incredibly special day is open to all. It will include talks from many of those involved in the project from conception to lifting our beautiful sculpture into the skies above Lincolnshire, including the Chairman of The Bomber County Gateway Trust Charlie White &amp; an opportunity to chat to &amp; ask questions of the Trustees &amp; Ambassadors of the BGCT The will be music &amp; entertainment from the amazing 1940&#39;s vocalist Miss Sarah Jayne Explore the sculpture up close &amp; wander around under its graceful wings while imagining what it was like to fly. Hear the history behind VNN the Lancaster which this sculpture represents. Find out why 2 propellors are represented as spinning &amp; 2 are still! Sit back &amp; relax on the grass or in the beautiful marquee while enjoying the stunning views of both Lincolnshire &amp; Nottinghamshire as the vistas stretch over the sculpture to the county border beyond. Tuck into sumptuous BBQ food prepared by expert the chefs from CGC Events (Not included in the entry ticket- all food is available to be purchased on site) All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to the trust &amp; support the ongoing development &amp; maintenance of the sculpture for the generations to come. &nbsp;

Celebration Day "On Freedom's Wings"

Join us for the Opening Ceremony of&nbsp;&quot;On Freedom&#39;s Wings&quot; the Lancaster Bomber Sculpture, a landmark created to honour Lincolnshire&#39;s rich history as &quot;Bomber County&quot; and its many airfields which were bases for the famous Lancaster Bomber during the war. This gathering marks the official opening of this incredible feat of engineering.&nbsp;Designed to remind all who see as they pass by her at the Gateway to Lincolnshire, of the role &amp; significance of the Lancaster Bomber in wartime history &amp; the lives saved &amp; sacrifices made by all those crews involved. This wonderful afternoon situated in a marquee looking out over the sculpture &amp; surrounding views, involves a&nbsp;Service of Dedication for &quot;On Freedom&#39;s Wings&quot;&nbsp;&amp; talks from Charlie White Chairman of Trustees &amp; various members of the teams involved in bringing this &quot;supper table idea&quot; to fruition. The service will be followed by a traditional Afternoon Tea &amp; music.&nbsp;There will be an opportunity to enjoy a wander round the sculpture &amp; enjoy the views it flies over. The Trustees &amp; Ambassadors will be on hand to answer questions &amp; chat about its history&nbsp; All proceeds go directly to support the future of this amazing tribute to Lincolnshire&#39;s aviation history ACCESSABILITY STATEMENTEvery effort will be made to make this event as accessible as possible. It is a greenfield site &amp; although it is reasonably flat land, it is grass &amp; will not be completely level. &nbsp;Blue Badge holders will be parked close to the marquee. There will be matting where possible but there maybe some areas of grass to cross. There will be accessible loos &amp; a ramp access to the marquee.&nbsp;

Get ready to be part of something extraordinary at Bomber County Gateway Trust&#39;s Bomber Ball &nbsp;It&#39;s an event like no other, being held in front of the magnificent sculpture &quot;On Freedom&#39;s Wings&quot; and we want you to be there! 🎉 This Black Tie event celebrating the Official Opening of &quot;On Freedom&#39;s Wings&quot; includes a sumptuous 3 course dinner &amp; dancing to live music overlooking the Bomber .The evening will feature the opportunity to walk around the bomber while lit up in the night sky.&nbsp; There will be an auction with incredible lots to bid on, dancing to a 1940s style band and modern disco with DJ, &nbsp;cocktails and local beer &amp; gin.&nbsp; This will be a special celebration of the past, present &amp; the future as &quot;On Freedom&#39;s Wings&quot; represents each one of those. All proceeds will be going towards the support, continual development &amp; landscaping of the Bomber site ensuring its future for generations to come.
