CRAI Scout Distict's Fundraising Shop

Refresh your Tomahawk Throwing&nbsp;These open sessions are designed for Leaders and Young Leaders who want to refresh their tomahawk throwing skills and build confidence in delivering sessions for young people.&nbsp; We know it&rsquo;s easy to lose confidence if you haven&rsquo;t thrown Hawks for a while. This is your chance to get hands-on, ask those burning questions, and practice running a range just as you would with young people&mdash;all with experienced instructors on hand to support you.&nbsp; Expect a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with no judgment and no negative feedback&mdash;just an opportunity to sharpen your skills in a safe, supportive environment.&nbsp; All funds raised will help young people in CRAI attend national events. <ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">These sessions will run from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM with no requirement for you to attend for the whole session (though last entry will be at 19:30).&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">It is expected that if you stay to the end you will help pack everything up!</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">It is not essential that you have completed a course before attending a session, though we will not be covering the theory during these sessions and they are not intended to replace a course</li></ul>Zeffy TipZeffy is ALWAYS free for us to use - we pay no platform fees, credit card fees or other fees to use the platform. &nbsp;Zeffy will add a Tip (default of 17%!) which helps to keep the platform free - if you set the donation to 0% we still pay NO fees for using Zeffy (but Zeffy fails to make any money!)

Tomahawk Throwing Refresher Sessions

Learn to Shoot Courses&nbsp;&nbsp;(All Disciplines)Welcome to the Learn to Shoot course run by CRAI Scout District! These practical, skills‑focused courses are designed for young people aged 10&ndash;18 who want to develop safe, consistent and confident technique in one of three disciplines:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Air Rifle Shooting</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Sport Crossbow Shooting &nbsp;</li></ul>Each course is delivered by qualified instructors using high‑quality equipment specific to that discipline. Whether a young person is brand‑new or looking to improve accuracy, control, stance, or competition skills, these courses provide structured progression leading to Master at Arms sign‑off (or NSRA YPS certification where applicable). What&rsquo;s IncludedAcross all Master at Arms pathways, young people will cover:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Safety, equipment handling, and range rules</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Technique and fundamentals (stance, distance, breathing, aiming, trigger or release discipline depending on activity)Target types, games, and skill challenges</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Competition preparation and final assessment</li></ul>Each discipline follows a structured multi‑session syllabus, with sessions held on set dates.&nbsp; Young people must attend all sessions at the same time each week to complete the award.(Exact session times and dates will be shown within each ticket category.) Learn to Shoot with CRAI Scouts

CRAI District Squirrel Drey Day is a fun, structured day for our youngest section to explore, play, and try new activities together. Led by trained volunteers, Squirrels build early confidence, teamwork, and a sense of belonging in a safe environment. 🐿️ We have a day full of archery, angel throwing, climbing, cooking and a Eggciting Easter Egg Hunt to finish. (Please bring your own packed lunch) Please use this form to register your Squirrel, share medical or access needs, and confirm permissions. Your details help us plan the programme, keep everyone safe, and ensure every young person can fully join in. 🎒

🪓 Tomahawk Throwing for Young People &ndash; Leaders CourseSaturday 9 May 2026 Join us for a full‑day hands‑on Tomahawk Throwing Leaders Course, designed to build confidence, competence, and capability in delivering safe, engaging tomahawk throwing sessions for young people within Scouting. The day focuses on practical skills, safe range setup, and fun session design, combining clear instruction with plenty of opportunity to throw, practise, and learn from each other in a supportive environment. Whether you&rsquo;re completely new to tomahawk throwing or looking to strengthen your existing knowledge, this course will leave you better equipped to run high‑quality sessions with young people. 🌍 Supporting International Scouting AdventuresThis course is being run as a fundraising event for the CRAI Scout District International Fund. All funds raised will support a range of international Scouting opportunities for local young people, including&mdash;but not limited to&mdash;future international camps and events such as the World Scout Jamboree 2027.
