The 3rd Annual HBCU College &amp; Career Fair Fundraising Gala is a meaningful celebration of legacy, service, and opportunity&mdash;bringing the spirit of HBCU Homecoming to life. This signature event brings together alumni, educators, professionals, community leaders, and supporters for an evening rooted in pride, purpose, and impact. Guided by the theme &ldquo;Homegrown. Educated. Empowered.&rdquo;, the gala honors the journeys of HBCU students and graduates while highlighting the power of coming home. It is a moment where graduates return&mdash;not only to reconnect and celebrate&mdash;but to give back to the community that helped shape them through mentorship, resources, and investment in future leaders. The evening will celebrate achievements, foster intentional networking across education, industry, and community sectors, and create an enjoyable, high-energy experience reflective of HBCU culture and excellence. Proceeds from the gala directly support the HBCU College &amp; Career Fair, expanding access to colleges, career opportunities, scholarships, and workforce pathways for students. Community Partners,What began as a Cleveland County initiative has grown into a regional movement&mdash;now serving 763 students and families across Cleveland, Lincoln, Gaston, and Rutherford counties. This work is not symbolic. Our students represent diverse stages of the college and career exploration process and need:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Foundational guidance for underclassmen on course selection, career exploration and job shadowing opportunities, understanding career pathways and industry requirements, different college types and vocational programs, internship possibilities, and financial aid basics</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Specific application and career information for upperclassmen including college requirements and deadlines, major programs aligned with career goals, detailed financial aid packages, apprenticeship and technical training options, job market trends, and direct pathways from education to employment</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Direct engagement opportunities such as campus visit information, your institution&#39;s unique culture and career services, student outcomes and job placement rates, connections between academic programs and specific careers, and networking opportunities with industry professionals</li></ul>This is a high-impact recruiting opportunity to connect with students at every stage of their college and career journey, from those just beginning to explore possibilities to seniors ready to apply or enter the workforce.
