Smarter Kids ProgramProgram Description The Smarter Kids Program is an early childhood safety and awareness program designed to teach children ages 4&ndash;6 important life skills that help them stay safe, confident, and aware of the world around them. Through fun, interactive activities, children learn how to recognize safe situations, understand personal boundaries, make smart choices, and know what to do during emergencies. The program uses games, role-playing, storytelling, visual learning, and guest speakers to teach these lessons in a way that is engaging and easy for young children to understand. Topics include stranger awareness, basic internet safety, personal space and boundaries, confidence building, emergency preparedness, and identifying trusted adults. Each session encourages children to practice using their voices, asking for help, and thinking through real-life situations they may encounter at home, school, or in public places. The program also includes community helpers such as police officers or firefighters, helping children feel comfortable with the people who are there to protect and assist them. The Smarter Kids Program also involves parents by providing simple safety tips and activities they can practice at home with their children. By reinforcing these lessons both in the program and at home, children develop strong habits of awareness and confidence at an early age. The goal of the program is to help young children grow into safe, confident, and smart decision-makers, while building a foundation of safety knowledge that will stay with them as they grow.
