Chicago Asian Network (CAN) is a community-focused social impact media platform serving the multi-generational and diverse APA community. Since 2010, we&rsquo;ve shared AAPI news, community events, and resources to educate, collaborate, and strengthen connections across Chicago. In the past, the City of Chicago published an annual Chicagoland APA Heritage Month Calendar to consolidate community events, broaden outreach, and foster collaboration. Due to budget cuts, the city stopped printing the booklet, which reduced representation and awareness during this important month. Join us for an intimate Off The Menu evening with Chef Thai Dang as we explore Vietnamese flavors, stories, and the people behind the food. Chef Thai Dang is a&nbsp;James Beard-nominated chef known for cooking that draws on his Vietnamese roots. &nbsp;🍽️ Proceeds benefit Rescuing Leftover Cuisine.&nbsp;A national 501(c)(3) headquartered in New York City that redistributes excess food from businesses to people experiencing food insecurity. Founded in 2013 by Robert Lee, it works to end hunger and food waste by connecting donors with local shelters, soup kitchens, and food pantries.
