Join Alabama Interfaith Refugee Partnership this Earth Day for a meaningful event to raise money for ALIRP.&nbsp; Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help support ALIRP operations, education, and advocacy for our ALIRP Partners.&nbsp; On&nbsp;Sunday, April 12th from 4:00&ndash;7:00 PM, we&rsquo;re hosting a free, public silent auction at Cahaba Brewing Company located at&nbsp;4500 5th Ave S Building C, Birmingham, AL 35222. The online auction will close at 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 12th. This auction features a diverse collection of artwork donated by local artists, alongside a truly unique centerpiece: six original paintings created by elephants from the Maetaeng Elephant Park.&nbsp; The art and the event itself draw inspiration from elephants as symbols of memory, matriarchal strength, and long migratory journeys. Just as environmental changes displace wildlife, many of the families ALIRP serves have been forced to flee violence, war, and climate disruption, only to face new challenges upon arrival in the United States. All funds raised will go directly toward supporting ALIRP operations and to ALIRP Partner families as they navigate housing, legal processes, and rebuilding their lives. Your presence and your donations help affirm a simple truth: seeking refuge is a human right.
