The Catalyst Presents:&nbsp;BOB&#39;S DOORS A Fundraiser for the Future of Seattle&#39;s Creative Community The Catalyst invites you to &quot;Bob&#39;s Doors&quot;&mdash;an immersive, city-wide narrative event. This production brings together artists, musicians, and performers from across Seattle to tell a story about time, memory, and the city itself. The Mission: Direct Support Seattle is growing, but the artists, musicians, and builders who define its culture are being priced out. The &quot;starving artist&quot; trope is a systemic failure.The Catalyst uses &quot;Bob&#39;s Doors&quot; as a collaborative engine with one goal: to raise money to pay our creatives directly. Every ticket purchased, every raffle entry, and every donation goes immediately into the Artist Stabilization Fund. We distribute these funds directly to the painters, performers, tech crews, and storytellers involved in this project. Why We Need You We are working toward a reality where Seattle creatives have access to: Direct Project Stipends so artists can create without financial panic. Accessible Mental Healthcare&nbsp;to provide a safe harbor for those struggling. We are committed to offering resources and community support to help people find a reason to stay. Equity for Marginalized Voices by prioritizing support for underprivileged communities and those often excluded from traditional funding structures. We didn&#39;t choose to be here. Bob's Doors: Fundraiser show series

Over forty doors, hand-painted by more than sixty Seattle artists and musicians, are finished and sitting in storage. Four are out in the city. We are going for fifty doors placed across Seattle. Each one carries a small tag - an RFID sticker paired with a printed QR code. Tap it with your phone, scan it, or type the code by hand, and a free story opens in your browser along with a profile of the artist who painted that door, linking straight to their own work. No app to install. No account. No ticket. You find a door on a sidewalk, and a minute later you are following the artist who made it. We keep this free on purpose. Public art that costs money to see is not public art. WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES Every dollar goes to placement. Mounting brackets and masonry anchors. Exterior sealant so a painted door survives a Seattle winter. Truck rental to move doors from storage to sites across the city. The tags themselves. $25 tags one door$50 weatherproofs a door for a Seattle winter$150 mounts one door in the city$500 puts a door and its story on a full art walk route The art is already made and already paid for. The software is built and has already run live at the Belltown Blast street festival. This project does not stall for lack of art or lack of technology. It stalls for lack of brackets and a truck. Donations made now are not yet confirmed as tax-deductible. If our exemption is approved, contributions made during this period are expected to qualify retroactively.
