Community Book Nook Initiative Incorporated

The Community Book Nook Initiative promotes literacy by providing free, accessible books to children in underserved communities, fostering a love for reading and learning among kids aged 0-12 through community-driven book nooks.

Join our July 11 Canvassing event 📚🚶&zwj;♀️ to help spread the word about Community Book Nook Initiative&rsquo;s free neighborhood libraries and love of reading. You&rsquo;ll visit nearby businesses, share simple information about our book nooks, and invite them to become a book nook host. Every conversation helps open the door to reading for children, teens, and adults who may not have easy access to books.

Settle in for Sunday brunch, meet fellow book lovers, and learn more about the Community Book Nook Initiative mission to bring free books into everyday spaces. 📚 Community Readers Raffle 2026

Read, Relax, and Raise Money For a Good Cause! 100% of proceeds support the Community Book Nook Initiative, a 501(c)3 literacy nonprofit. What better way to raise money for our literacy efforts than to offer a day of reading and relaxation to our supporters? This daytime readers&#39; retreat will take place at waterfront home on its own private peninsula in Sturbridge, MA. With enough room for participants to stretch out and read, explore, and gather for meals, this day-long retreat is sure to provide a sense of peace and fulfillment. Spring Daytime Reader Retreat FUNDRAISER

Join us for a&nbsp;Jolabokaflod Celebration &amp; Fundraiser 📚 in support of the Community Book Nook Initiative. Translated as the &quot;Christmas Book Flood&quot;, this Icelandic tradition, in which books are gifted and read on Christmas Eve, celebrates the unique magic of books and spreads reading culture.&nbsp; Our version includes a wrapped book gifted to each guest, tasty treats, raffle prizes, an optional book swap, and gift books and bundles for purchase. We&#39;ll even have a gift wrapping station! Courthouse Brewing, the home of our Courthouse Redemption Book Club, is located in the heart of Worcester--our target location for many book nooks. As you enjoy this cozy evening of connection and holiday cheer, your participation directly aids in setting up community book nooks in underserved neighborhoods within the Worcester community. Together, we turn the page toward greater literacy for all.

&quot;If you can read, you can learn anything about everything and everything about anything.&quot; &mdash; Dolly Parton 📚 What would Dolly do? 🤠📚 She&#39;d probably show up, hand out books, and leave everyone feeling a little more hopeful.&nbsp; That&#39;s basically our whole plan for our Lit Fest Fundraiser on September 27! Join us for an afternoon of books, community, local authors, and good vibes &mdash; all in support of bringing free books to children across Worcester County. Dolly started with one county in Tennessee. We&#39;re starting with Worcester County, Massachusetts. Every big thing starts somewhere.

Delivery routes are in Worcester County and can often be combined with errands you&#39;re already running. If you&#39;re looking for a way to make a lasting difference without committing to a fixed schedule, this is it. Anything you can do--however big or small, helps us reach our goal of getting books into the hands of those who need them most.
