LXCL:HaGomel's mission is to provide expressive arts programs to support emotional and psychological healing for women who have experienced sexual and other trauma. We operate on the belief that creativity is a human birthright, and believe in the healing power of creative community.&nbsp; Various forms of expressive arts – visual art, dance/yoga, music/sound, writing, theater – resonate differently for everyone. Our programs utilize multiple modalities to better facilitate each participant’s process.

Hosted by HaGomel, this workshop offers a supportive space for women and female-identifying participants to connect, share as they wish, and practice healing through creativity. 🎨 Creating Beauty with Our Broken Pieces&nbsp;is a gentle, Kintsugi-inspired workshop exploring how cracks, losses, and life&rsquo;s turning points can become sources of strength and meaning. Through guided art-making and reflective writing, participants will create a personal piece that honors their story. Inspired by the Japanese practice of Kintsugi&mdash;the art of repairing broken pottery with gold&mdash;this workshop invites participants to reflect on personal experiences, emotions, and resilience through both visual art and writing.Together, we will slow down, create, and reconnect with ourselves in a supportive and reflective space. No artistic or writing experience is necessary&mdash;only a willingness to explore and express. Through simple creative exercises, we will consider how broken pieces can carry wisdom, beauty, and transformation, turning lived experience into meaningful creative expression.

Who is this Designed for? This is an expressive arts workshop for women and female-identifying individuals who want to build community and heal from past trauma. What to Expect? In SoulCollage&reg;, we draw from the wisdom of our community through the creation of &ldquo;Community Cards&rdquo; &mdash; cards which represent the energy of our loved ones: family, friends, mentors, teachers, beloved pets, and places that are special to us. We honor them and choose images that will give them a voice. Your SoulCollage&reg; Community Cards can offer you strength, understanding, guidance, and love, supporting you in your life journey.In this online workshop, led by Elya Braden, HaGomel&rsquo;s Founder/President and SoulCollage&reg; facilitator, we will use mindful breathing, guided meditation, creative writing, and, of course, the SoulCollage&reg; process to create a visual representation of one or more members of our Community. Join us to strengthen your connection to your Community through the expressive arts.&nbsp; What is Soul Collage&reg;?&nbsp;SoulCollage&reg;, created by Seena B. Frost, is an intuitive collage practice that gently guides us home to our own inner knowing and guidance. It opens the door so we can meet ourselves exactly where we are and explore life from a fresh perspective. This gentle practice can become a doorway to more fulfillment, freedom, and inner transformations. Creating SoulCollage&reg; cards enables us to visualize and honor the many aspects of ourselves, however they show up for us, and to reflect on the meaning of these images for deeper self-awareness and self-acceptance.

Exploring the Many Faces of Joy with SoulCollage®

Join trauma-healing poet Kate Burns for a nurturing one-day retreat designed for women recovering from sexual and other trauma. In times like these, reminders of past experiences can seem to appear unexpectedly. When that happens, well-meaning advice like take a walk, light a candle, or have a bubble bath, may not be enough. Healing often requires something deeper: compassionate connection, creative expression, and a safe space to simply be. This intimate retreat offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and heal in the company of other survivors. Through creative, body-centered, and reflective practices, you&rsquo;ll explore new ways to reconnect with your body, honor your emotions with compassion, and rediscover the restorative power of play. Creative Healing Retreat: A Day of Creativity, Connection, and Renewal for Women

An expressive arts workshop for women and female-identifying individuals who want to build community and heal from past trauma. Bridges in Our Lives, Led by Judy Nemer SklarA bridge is never just a bridge. It is a story about connections. &nbsp;We drive over them and we walk on them. &nbsp;We admire them and sometimes we forget that they are even there. &nbsp;But bridges are more than just engineering; they serve as metaphors for how we move through life, connect our ideas and grow. &nbsp; Every bridge has two sides. &nbsp;Our lives are similar. &nbsp;We stand on the foundation of our past, including mistakes and successes. &nbsp;Then we look ahead to the future, filled with hopes, goals and possibilities.A bridge is the structure we build between the two and below it, the obstacles we have overcome; built with lessons, insights and humility. The Art ProjectIn this workshop we begin with a grounding exercise followed by a creative activity. &nbsp;Using pencils, markers, pens, or optional paints and collage materials, we will sketch or collage a bridge. On the left side, include images of what you are leaving behind; on the right, images of where you are headed; and below the bridge, obstacles you have encountered along the way. Using your art materials, we will create artwork that opens a conversation and invites shared experiences. &nbsp;Where are you on the bridge?
