Friend-of-HOME Memberships

Join this forum to learn and discuss new ways to help end homelessness in Ventura County. The program will include:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">The Continuum of Care team will share information about the County&rsquo;s recent Homeless Point-In-Time Count.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">The County Behavioral Health team will talk about linking housing with behavioral health support systems through Proposition 1 and their new Integrated Plan.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">As the local administrator Many Mansions will discuss the Transitional Rent program, housing support as a Medi-Cal benefit.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Insights and perspectives shared by frontline housing and service professionals</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Discussion of the many ways to house and support those who are homeless and at-risk.&nbsp;</li></ul>

Point-in-Time: Housing as Healthcare

Join 300 housing and community development professionals at the 25th annual Ventura County Housing Conference on Thursday, October 1st at the Serra Center in Camarillo from 8:00am-2:30pm. &quot;Heart of HOME: 25 years of Connection, Community, &amp; Change&quot; is the Conference theme for this milestone celebration. In 2002 the first conference theme: &ldquo;A Call to Action: New Alliances and New Tools for Housing in Ventura County&rdquo; still appropriately encapsulates the Conference mission to this day. This year&rsquo;s 25th annual Ventura County Housing Conference will include:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">A multi-disciplinary &quot;Future of Housing&quot; panel that interweaves presentation, Q&amp;A, and small group discussion.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Lunchtime keynote speaker offering policy insights at the state level</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">25-year timeline display about regional housing, projects, policy, statistics, and people</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Expo to connect with 40+ organizations and conference sponsors &ndash; new expanded space!</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Project or Policy Spotlight</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Numerous occasions for sponsor recognition</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">2026 Carmen Ramirez Housing Advocacy Award</li></ul>This conference results in positive changes in the local housing supply and policies, community and business environment, and in the lives of families, especially those at lower-income levels.
