Your gift to Going Full Circle supports Indigenous people in reconnecting with our knowledge, responsibilities, and inherent power through decolonization and resurgence.Going Full Circle is a Matriarch Ways program that brings community members together to learn, reflect, and put decolonization into practice in ways that make sense for themselves, their families, and their Tribal communities. Through facilitated gatherings, a cohort together will explore the impacts of colonization while strengthening their relationships to land, identity, community, traditional knowledge, and one another.We believe decolonization is more than understanding what happened to our people. It is also about recognizing what remains, remembering who we are, and determining what we carry forward.When we give together, we help:Support community projects that allow participants to put their knowledge and ideas into actionSupport facilitated learning around colonization, decolonization, resurgence, identity, land, and community responsibilityCreate opportunities for participants to learn from one another and develop approaches grounded in their own Tribal communitiesProvide participants with stipends so community members are compensated for their time, knowledge, and commitmentBuild connections between participants that can continue beyond each Going Full Circle cohortGoing Full Circle recognizes that our communities already carry knowledge, strength, and ways of being that have survived generations of attempts to separate us from them. Our work is not about giving people their power.
