LXCL:We desire to bring art to the community through classes, workshops and community events. By providing opportunity for exchange between artists, we expand art education. Families, children, and adults are welcome! Open 9-4pm Mon-Fri and Sat 9-2pm.

Discover the art of fused glass in the round in a relaxed, hands-on workshop. This class involves working with &nbsp;a 10- inch round glass base, using your imagination to create a standalone piece to display in your home. We will use the tack- fusing method . Do you love flower gardens, or perhaps prefer abstract Art? Create your own unique design!&nbsp; This class supports Mineola League Of The Arts&rsquo; mission to make creativity accessible in our community. Fused Glass in the Round

Join us for a three class series creating memory journals and paper crafts! 📚✂️ We&rsquo;ll provide simple guidance, inspiring prompts, make pockets, tags, &amp; decorations. We&#39;ll also dye paper and do stenciling, stamping, cutting, &amp; binding. You&#39;ll be making a large heirloom journal! Not All Quilt Blocks Are Square

This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to pain this vibrant landscape. Using only three brushes and 8 colors, we&#39;ll focus on blending and technique. You will learn how to sketch and prime your canvas, paint and blend a background, you&#39;ll also learn about light and shadows. &nbsp;This is a 2 hour class with evening open studio time to finish your painting. Beginner Oil Painting - Blending

Volunteer Opportunities- Kids Camp

Step into the spotlight at our Youth Acting Workshop 🎭, hosted by Jake Johnson at Mineola League Of The Arts. This hands-on workshop gives young performers a welcoming space to explore voice, movement, and character on stage. These short classes are a great way to get a taste for the theater! If your student enjoys this class, we&#39;ll have a longer 5 week theater series where students will focus learning short scenes, for a small performance in August. 7/2 &nbsp;3rd-8th Grade Jake comes to us with experience working with the Mentoring Alliance in Tyler, and as the Theater Teacher for a private school in ETX. &nbsp;He has an incredible gift for making theater a fun low-pressure experience, while bringing out the best in students and letting their true potential really shine! We look forward to having him with us for this summer season!

Youth Acting Workshop

Join us for a hands-on Charity Workshop 🎨&nbsp; We are making adult bibs for Azalea Trails Nursing Home. &nbsp;Our goal is to make 90 bibs - 30 residents, 3 meals per day. &nbsp;We will deliver them before Thanksgiving. We have donated fabric we can use for charity projects. We need a headcount to set up more tables as needed.

Quilt Guild Charity Workshop

Intro to Stained Glass - New Dates Added

Shuttle Tatting Workshop

Master Builders - Lego Club

Fused and Confused&nbsp;brings together local artists and art lovers for an evening of color, texture, and bold ideas 🎨. Two techniques in Glass Fusion will be taught. &nbsp;The tach method will be used to make a night light and the full fuse method will be used on a tea light/candle holder. &nbsp;Supplies are provided. &nbsp;Use your creativity to make both projects in the colors and design you like! Dimensional Arts 2026 Raffle

Learn how to hand-build with clay making your very own teacups! These little teacups are perfect for a strong latte, herbal tea or planter!&nbsp; In class, you&#39;ll learn a variety of skill, such as wedging, shaping joining clay and attaching handles. This is an excellent class for beginners and improvers alike. Once your teacup is fired, you&#39;ll come back into the studio to glaze your piece. (We&rsquo;ll work on making two teacups&nbsp;during class) **Clay will be needed for class. Make Your Own Teacups!

In this class, you will learn common sewing terms, various tools, thread and needle types, as well as sewing machine basics and much more! Come join us! Learn To Sew - Basic Skills

Join us for a hands-on Jelly Roll Rectangle Rug workshop 🧵 and turn a bundle of fabric strips into a colorful, one-of-a-kind RECTANGULAR rug for your home. What are jelly rolls you ask?- they are a collection of 2 1/2&rdquo; wide precut fabric packaged for purchase. &nbsp; When you fold the strips with batting you make the &lsquo;rope&rsquo; &ndash; a foundation for many jelly roll projects.&nbsp; Supplies are NOT included in this class.1. Bring your own jelly roll with at least 32 strips.&nbsp;(or 2.5 yards of fabric to cut your own 2.5 strips.)(or come up with 32 -2.5&quot;x32&quot; from your own fabric stash) 2. Batting-you will need the same amount of batting as fabric, cut the same as your fabric strips.&nbsp;Bring scrap pieces as well. Basic measuring and sewing skills are needed for this class. &nbsp;Please bring your sewing machine that can handle sewing multiples layers including a straight and zig zag stitch. In this beginner friendly class students will be exposed to jelly roll quilting. A Jelly Roll &nbsp;is a collection of fabric pre-cut into strips 2.5&quot; by about 42&quot; and rolled into a circle.&nbsp;Jelly rolls are sewn together to create rugs, potholders, bags, placemats, oven mitts and much more! &nbsp;All supplies are included. BRING YOUR OWN SEWING MACHINE and notions.&nbsp; Learn the basic steps needed to make the larger rugs in this introductory class. We will look at some of the different projects you can make with the jelly roll &lsquo;rope&rsquo;. In this one day class, students will learn the ins and outs of weaving jewelry with wire. Using copper wire and simple tools, you will weave on a wood dowel to &nbsp;a tube of you&#39;re desired length. Grab your favorite holiday fabric and come learn how to make it into a Christmas tree skirt! &nbsp; September 26, 202610:00am - 2:00pmBring lunch/snacks/drinkAges 12 +&nbsp;For the class you will need to bring the following:&nbsp;*Basic sewing supplies -clips, scissors, seam ripper, pins, clips, something to write with etc..* Little iron*A sewing machine that can handle thick sewing with straight and zig zag stitch options.* Extension for your sewing machine ( and/or thin boxes/thick books to build up your workspace)*A needle that can handle heavy sewing (Denim, Janome Purple needle)*A lot of thread to go with your project&nbsp;*Jelly Roll pre-cut pack or equivalent fabric or choice of- (40) 2 &frac12; &nbsp;X width of fabric strips* Thin batting: ~ 1600&quot; total cut in 2 &frac14; - 2 &frac12; &quot; strips. ( Same amount as the fabric you will be using.) &nbsp;Pick a width and cut them all the same size.* Preload 4 or more bobbins Options:If you would like to cut the back open so you can wrap the skirt around the tree you will save one of your Jelly roll strips to bind the raw cut edges. You will then attach Velcro or ribbon to hold the open ends together. You will need ~ 8&rdquo; Velcro or 4+ of ribbon. Depending on how large you want your bows. Although we may not have time in class, you may decide to you want to add an embellishment like a fur or pompom trim. Instructor: Jennifer Rabich

Let&rsquo;s Roll &amp; Pinch&nbsp;🎨✨Sit side‑by‑side with friends, as you roll, pinch, and shape your own clay bowls with guidance from our local artists.&nbsp;Students will learn the pinch technique to build the walls of a bowl, learn the basics of clay building and &nbsp;how to add coil pieces for decoration. Whether it be pumpkins or apples, witches or scarecrows, leaves or Lederhosen, feel free to dress up (optional) be unique and Fall in Love with Line Dancing again. Quilt Show 2026

Ready, set, sew! Join our Jelly Roll Race quilt event and turn a bundle of fabric strips into a one‑of‑a‑kind quilt top in record time. Bring a jelly roll (40 strips of fabric 2 1/2&quot; w) along with 1 yard of accent fabric, your sewing machine and notions. &nbsp;We will sew all strips together end to end with a diagonal seam. Then the race begins! &nbsp;We will put the two ends together and sew a side seam all the way to the other end, 1600&quot; long! &nbsp;We will continue in this manner until it&#39;s the size of a lap quilt. &nbsp;The first one done will win a small surprise!
