PETALS Women&rsquo;s Empowerment Organization is advancing a strategic organizational development initiative designed to strengthen leadership, expand program capacity, build valuable partnerships, and increase the organization&rsquo;s long term community impact. In recognition of the work being led through PETALS, Founder and President Sophia Gethers was selected as one of only 50 women to participate in the Female Founders Initiative Global SHE EO Leadership Bootcamp 2026 in Mauritius, October 22 through 24, 2026. Sophia will participate in her official leadership capacity as Founder and President of PETALS, with a defined responsibility to transfer relevant knowledge, relationships, and leadership strategies back into the organization.Why This Investment Matters PETALS has served more than 800 women and families through mental wellness education, financial literacy, leadership development, mentorship, career support, entrepreneurship education, and community programming. As PETALS prepares for its next stage of growth, the organization must continue developing the leadership capacity, strategic direction, partnerships, and internal systems necessary to serve more people with excellence. Organizational and Community Deliverables Following completion of the leadership program, PETALS will:<ol fr-original-style="" style="width: 100%; box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Conduct a formal leadership and strategy briefing for the PETALS board.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Develop a written action plan identifying leadership, program, partnership, and organizational growth strategies that PETALS can implement.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Integrate relevant lessons into PETALS&rsquo; program planning and community engagement efforts.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Host a complimentary community leadership workshop.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Create a practical digital leadership resource for women and community members.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Provide sponsors with a report documenting the organizational and community outcomes created through their investment.</li></ol>These deliverables ensure that the value of this opportunity remains within PETALS and continues benefiting the organization and the community after the leadership program concludes. Financial Stewardship and Accountability All contributions will be received through PETALS&rsquo; official Zeffy campaign and administered under PETALS&rsquo; financial controls. Campaign funds will be assigned to this initiative and used exclusively for authorized and documented project expenses. PETALS will maintain appropriate financial records and provide sponsors with an impact report demonstrating how their support strengthened the organization and benefited the community. Any funds remaining after the initiative and its deliverables have been completed will support related PETALS leadership development, mental wellness education, financial education, and community programming. Join GIVEN Enterprises and P.E.T.A.L.S. Women&rsquo;s Organization for Fall Retreat: Restore &bull; Renew &bull; Revive, Part 2 of our 3 Part Wellness Event Series. This faith centered wellness experience is designed to create space for rest, renewal, reflection, prayer, and meaningful connection in the presence of God. Guests will be invited to step away from the demands of everyday life and spend intentional time caring for their spiritual, emotional, and personal wellness. Throughout the afternoon, you will experience inspiring speakers, a Scripture Soaking Sound Bath, prayer, wellness reflection, vendors, food and fellowship, and intentional time with the Lord.
