🐾Help Give This Brave Boy a Pain-Free Future❤️ 💔 The moment we saw him, we knew we couldn&rsquo;t leave him behind.When Shadow&rsquo;s Light Foundation arrived at a property to begin trapping and helping a colony of community cats, one little face immediately caught our attention. As he walked toward us, it was clear something was terribly wrong. He was limping badly, struggling to put weight on his front leg, yet he still greeted the world with quiet resilience and an incredible spirit. Despite living every day in pain, this sweet feral boy never gave up. We knew we had to help him.After safely trapping him and getting him to the veterinarian, X-rays revealed heartbreaking news. He had suffered a very old, untreated fracture to his front leg. The injury had healed improperly and was far beyond repair. The only way to give him a life free from constant pain was to amputate the leg. 🐈 The good news? His surgery was successful! 🚨💔 A Simple Stop for Gas Became the Light These Twelve Lives Needed. 🐾 UPDATE - the entire small colony included 5 more adult She was just passing through town when she stopped at a local gas station.Instead of finding a quick stop, she found a sweet mama cat and her SIX kittens trying to survive in a busy parking lot. Heartbreakingly, they were all incredibly friendly, making them especially vulnerable to traffic and other dangers. She sat down and fed them, but after returning home, she couldn&rsquo;t stop thinking about them. Hoping someone local could help, she shared their story on a 209 community Facebook page. That&rsquo;s where we came in. ❤️ We are ready to help this precious family, but we need two things before we can begin: funding and a committed rescue partner. 💰 First, we need to raise the funds to spay/neuter, vaccinate, and provide the medical care this family needs.🏡 Second, we need a rescue organization willing to partner with us. Our hope is to get Mama and all seven kittens fixed, allow them to recover safely, complete their quarantine, and then transfer them into rescue so they can find the loving forever homes they deserve.We don&rsquo;t want to put this family through surgery, recovery, and quarantine only to return them to the same parking lot if no rescue placement is available. If we are unable to secure a rescue partner, the best outcome we can provide is to have them spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and returned to their area through TNR. When Shadow&#39;s Light Foundation was made aware of a group of community cats living in a parking lot, we knew we needed to help. There are approximately 14&ndash;16 cats&mdash;adults and kittens&mdash;living in this area. They are being fed, which is a wonderful act of compassion. But there is a heartbreaking side to making sure cats have enough to eat: When cats are fed and left unaltered, they keep reproducing. 🐈🐈&zwj;⬛🐾 The kittens survive. They grow up. They have kittens of their own. And before long, a small group becomes a colony that is nearly impossible to manage. These kittens also face the dangers that come with living around a parking lot&mdash;vehicles coming and going, limited safe spaces, and the constant risk of injury. We want to intervene now, while we still have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference. 💛 The good news: We have a foster willing to take in the kittens who are old enough to be socialized and placed for adoption. For the adults and remaining community cats, our plan is TNR&mdash;Trap, Neuter, Return.&nbsp; This will stop the cycle of reproduction while allowing the cats who call this place home to remain in their familiar environment. ✨ BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP BEFORE WE CAN BEGIN.
