Ankeny Pride

Ankeny Pride fosters a welcoming community for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies through events, education, and advocacy. We celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity, and support local initiatives to enhance the lives of all community members.

Ankeny Pride will again be walking in the Capital City Pride Parade on Sunday, June 14, and the Summerfest Parade on Saturday, July 11. Use this form to register yourself, your group, or organization. Your presence helps create a safer, more inclusive community grounded in respect and acceptance. 👟Sign up, show up, and walk with pride alongside us. Join us for Ankeny Pride&rsquo;s Fifth Annual Rainbow Run on the morning of Saturday, June 6th! We moved the Rainbow Run to its own day this year so it can shine even brighter. The Fifth Annual Rainbow Run deserves its own spotlight with more time to gather, more space to celebrate, and more chances to show up in color. This isn&rsquo;t a race &mdash; it&rsquo;s a family-friendly, all-ages event where you can run, walk, roll, bike, strut, or stroll in solidarity. We show up each year to affirm that the LGBTQ+ community exists, belongs, and deserves to be seen&mdash;right here in Ankeny. &nbsp; Details<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Location: High Trestle Trail and SW Walnut Street</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Check-in begins at 8:30am and the event will begin at 9 a.m. &nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Youth under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">You are welcome to participate in any part of the Rainbow Run as you are comfortable - THIS IS NOT A RACE.&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">We&#39;ll be giving out prizes for the individual with the MOST PRIDE and for the group with the BEST COORDINATED COSTUME.&nbsp;</li></ul>

Big Gay Trivia is a fun, welcoming night of questions, laughs, and queer joy 🏳️&zwj;🌈. Every team, every score, every &ldquo;I totally knew that one&rdquo; helps us build a more visible, connected LGBTQ+ community in Ankeny. By registering, you are helping to fund scholarships for Ankeny students, helping local young people pursue their next chapter with a little extra support from their community. At Ankeny Pride we support safe, inclusive spaces where everyone can show up as themselves&mdash;no exceptions. Grab friends, pick a team name, and get ready for trivia that celebrates community, culture, and pride 🎉.

🍰 Donate a Dessert for Ankeny Pride Friendsgiving! 🏳️&zwj;🌈 We&rsquo;re spreading love (and sugar!) at this year&rsquo;s&nbsp;Ankeny Pride Friendsgiving &mdash; and we need your help to fill our dessert tables! We&rsquo;re asking community members to donate a dessert &mdash; cookies, pies, bars, cupcakes, or your favorite sweet treat. Each team will have the opportunity to&nbsp;purchase a dessert plate for $20 and fill it with donated goodies to share and enjoy.
