This September, Offsides and Hoops are going head-to-head for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month — and every donation brings Hope to a child or teen facing cancer.Your donation supports Hope for Courage, a local nonprofit created in honor of Rylie “Hopie” Mogan, and helps us provide personalized Warrior Packages to children and teens during some of the hardest days of cancer treatment.Through our ongoing connection with Advocate Children’s Hospital and direct community referrals, each large blue Warrior Package is thoughtfully personalized based on a child’s age, interests, needs, and family input. Packages may include a personalized HFC Warrior Blanket, therapeutic creative activities and supplies, games, journals, books that help children understand their diagnosis, calming tools such as galaxy lights or lavender Warmies, bedside activities, and other practical resources designed to ease anxiety, stress, discomfort, and the emotional weight of treatment.These are more than gifts.
