1st ANNUAL MOCO LEFTIES INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Be a be part of something extraordinary - The NO KINGS Protest is happening nationwide - and we will be supporting the event in downtown Conroe. Peaceful, constant protest is the key to effecting change. When good people across our nation turn out in numbers, we cannot fail. The magic number is 3.5% - No protest movement that has reached that number has ever failed. Larger numbers of participants give movements more political and social leverage and make it harder for those in power to ignore the movement. The protest is from 1PM-4PM in downtown Conroe. Our office is just three blocks from the site, with ample parking. Starting at 10:00 AM, we will be providing breakfast, highly visible signage, hydration and information on protester rights, safety and de-escalation. Every person present at this event will bring us closer to achieving our mission. Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all.

Dem Dudes will meet monthly to enjoy great conversation, plan activities and events AND share what&#39;s happening with future events, outreach to local businesses, and the work we are doing to recruit and support new Dem candidates.

Our meal is thoughtfully provided by Blue Montgomery PAC (a group of Democrats whose mission is to ensure that we see many more Democrats on our ballots in Montgomery Country) and hosts Carsten Angermann & Rick Blumer. Amazing food with a German flair is being provided by a Dem-Friendly small business and our hospitality group's volunteers. There is never a cost to attend Second Saturday events, but a donation to Blue Montgomery PAC will allow them to continue sponsoring Second Saturday events across all precincts in Montgomery County and also do the much-needed work to recruit and support Dem candidates to make sure our ballots are balanced with plenty of Blue Challengers. For those of you who expressed an interest in our other activities during our last meeting, like our Banned Book Club, Food & Garden Coop, Montgomery Small Business Directory, and Resistbot Training - You'll each receive additional information via email this week.
