Membership for Marine Corps League #1238
Regular members are Marines, Marine Veterans, or FMF Navy personnel. United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine Veterans are all welcomed to apply as Associate Members.Regular Membership Only persons who are serving, or who have served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, or United States Navy personnel attached to the Marine Corps, for a period of not less than ninety (90) days, and persons who are serving or have served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and have earned no less than ninety (90) Reserve Retirement Credit Points shall be eligible for regular membership in the Marine Corps League.Proof of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps or United States Marine Corps Reserve is required in the form of Honorable Discharge, DD-214, active/reserve I.D., or other documentation that substantiates proof of service as a United States Marine or FMF Navy personnel.Annual Membership Dues Dues are required to become and maintain good standing as a member of the Marine Corps League. Initial dues are paid when a member joins. Current members must pay dues in August of every year to remain in good standing. A portion of the dues are sent to the Department of California and National. The remainder stays with the detachment. Additional members who have been a part of the Marine Corps League for at least one year may choose to become lifetime members. The dues for life membership depend on age.
