Sponsor a Dancer. Sustain a Career.
Our MissionBallet is a full-time commitment — but for most dancers, it’s not a full-time job.In the United States, even top-tier ballet companies provide only 30–35 weeks of paid work per year. That leaves dancers with months of unpaid time — a gap that threatens their financial stability, physical health, and long-term careers.Pointeworks was created to change that.We exist to provide paid, professional opportunities during the crucial off-season — a time when most dancers are left without work. By commissioning new choreography, presenting world-class performances, and fostering a collaborative creative environment, Pointeworks fills a critical gap in the ballet world. What Makes Pointeworks Special✨ We sustain dancers’ careers. By employing dancers in the summer months, we keep them financially supported, physically healthy, and artistically inspired.✨ We champion female-identifying choreographers. Women remain underrepresented in ballet leadership and creation. Pointeworks commissions female choreographers, bringing new voices and perspectives to the stage.✨ We connect artists and audiences. Pointeworks isn’t just a performance company — it’s a platform for collaboration, mentorship, and artistic exchange that enriches both dancers and the communities we serve.✨ We foster longevity. By preventing layoffs from becoming downtime, Pointeworks helps extend dancers’ careers and ensures their artistry flourishes for years to come. The ImpactIn 2025, Pointeworks offered 8 weeks of paid work to dancers from across the U.S.Artists joined us from companies such as New York City Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Texas Ballet Theater, Philadelphia Ballet, and more. These contracts weren’t just rehearsals — they were career-sustaining, health-preserving, and artistically expansive experiences. As one dancer shared:“Pointeworks helped me stay in shape over my layoff, making me less prone to injuries when I got back to my main season contract.
