About this foundation

The Community Foundation of Jackson County stewards endowed funds and makes competitive grants and scholarships to address local needs in Jackson County. Founded in 1992, the Foundation is governed by a local board and administers community funds, field-of-interest funds, scholarships and donor-advised funds. Its grant programs include a Fall Grant cycle, classroom education grants and township/community-specific funds. Staff (including a Grants Manager) and volunteer committees review applications and conduct site visits prior to Board awards.
