About this foundation

Created in 1991 and led by a volunteer Board of Directors, South Madison Community Foundation (SMCF) is a local community foundation that invests donor funds for permanent impact. The site states SMCF had $14.6 million in assets and will make $200,000 available in 2025-2026 for projects that advance community impact. SMCF emphasizes approachable grant practices, timely funding, feedback, and coaching, and encourages applicants to schedule Strategic Alignment meetings with staff.
