About this foundation

The Muriel McBrien Kauffman Family Foundation was established in 1987 to advance the arts. The foundation focuses on enhancing the quality and accessibility of performing and visual arts in the greater Kansas City community and provides significant annual funding to major local institutions. It supports general operations, program support, specific productions, fundraising events and capital campaigns. The foundation prioritizes organizations in Jackson, Clay and Platte counties (MO) and Johnson and Wyandotte counties (KS), with limited legacy grants outside that area.
