About this foundation

The Churchill Downs Foundation provides stewardship for the horse racing industry and funds initiatives that support connections to the equine industry and the neighborhoods surrounding Churchill Downs Racetrack. The Foundation supports Thoroughbred aftercare, disabled jockeys and backside communities and engages donors through events such as Supper Under the Spires and the 50/50 Raffle. The Foundation established the R.E.I.N. Fund to address emergency needs in the racing industry, including meals, micro-grants and horse care. Its Board of Directors reviews and approves grant requests bi‑annually.
