THE RADER WARD FOUNDATION
About this foundation
The Rader Ward Foundation was created by William and Susan Ward after the death of their son to provide scholarship support for creative children who benefit from alternative educational philosophies such as Montessori. The foundation is family-run (William as president, Susan as director) and coordinates with several local partner schools in Greenville County to award need-based partial scholarships. The site explains the organization grew from savings and a GoFundMe memorial and continues to accept donations to fund an endowment. Operations and selection are overseen by a small committee and the Ward family.
Funding focus
Our mission is to provide scholarship support for creative children who will benefit from an alternate educational philosophy, such as Montessori, as they lay the foundation for lifelong learning in elementary and middle school.
