The MCH Workforce Development and Training Center provides training, technical assistance, and workforce development opportunities to strengthen the current and future maternal and child (MCH) workforce. The Center equips state Title V Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant Program (Title V) leaders, staff, and other MCH professionals with the skills and tools&nbsp;to address MCH needs in their communities and advance outcomes nationwide.

MCH Workforce Development and Training Center

The purpose of the Nursing Workforce Diversity (NWD) program is to increase nursing&nbsp;education opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Eligible organizations include accredited schools of nursing, nursing centers, academic health centers, and domestic public or private non-profit entities entities, such as state and local departments of health, faith-based organizations, community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations.

Nursing Workforce Development (NWD)

The purpose of the Rural Community Health Support Program cooperative agreement is to develop, deliver, and coordinate nationally available technical assistance that supports community-based organizations and rural health stakeholders serving rural populations to improve and expand delivery and access to quality care for rural communities.&nbsp;

All domestic public or private, non-profit or for-profit entities including domestic faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations.

Rural Community Health Support Program

The purpose of this funding opportunity is to award one cooperative agreement recipient to serve as the Implementation Technical Assistance Provider (ITAP). This funding opportunity has a companion funding opportunity to fund an Evaluation Provider. The two recipients will work collaboratively, but conduct distinct activities that support the overall initiative.&nbsp;&nbsp;The proposed initiative will be comprised of one Implementation Technical Assistance Provider (ITAP), which will sub-award up to eight (8) implementation sites. The funded ITAP will solicit and select the implementation sites, as well as to identify emerging and evidence-informed interventions to be adapted and implemented by the implementation sites. The ITAP will be responsible for managing the subawards and providing implementation-specific technical assistance (TA) for the implementation sites.&nbsp;The proposed initiative will use implementation science to adapt, implement, and evaluate the implementation of interventions that serve men with HIV who are not consistently engaged in care or experiencing barriers to staying in care. This initiative directly aligns with Ryan White Program 2030 (RWP2030), which is a renewed vision for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP). Building on the foundation of the RWHAP and the Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. initiative, the RWP2030 framework is designed to sustain high-quality care and treatment for people currently receiving services through the RWHAP while expanding efforts to identify and engage individuals with HIV who are undiagnosed or out-of-care.&nbsp;&nbsp;The funded ITAP will manage the subawards, identify emerging and evidence-informed interventions to be adapted and implemented by the implementation sites, and provide implementation-specific TA to the implementation sites. The adaptation and implementation activities the ITAP will conduct will draw from frameworks and approaches developed in the field of implementation science including <a href="https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7647058/">HAB’s Implementation Science Framework</a>. The initiative emphasizes: 1) rapid adaptation, implementation, and evaluation; 2) implementation at a broad scale to produce generalizable findings; 3) public release of dissemination products based on human-centered design and adult learning principles, which foregrounds sustainability, rapid dissemination of findings, and replication of best practices.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Strategies to Link, Engage, and Retain Men with HIV in Care: Implementation Technical Assistance Provider

​​The Rural Residency Planning and Development (RRPD) program improves and expands rural health care access. It does this by developing new, accredited, sustainable rural residency programs, including rural track programs (RTPs). ​Newly created rural physician residency programs increase training and ultimately practice in rural areas to address physician shortages. ​The RRPD program provides start-up funding to create new rural residency programs in qualifying medical specialties. Long-term sustainability funding must come from viable and stable sources, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and other public or private sources. ​Qualifying medical specialties are:<ul><li>​Family medicine.</li><li>​Internal medicine.</li><li>​Preventive medicine.</li><li>​Psychiatry.</li><li>​General surgery.</li><li>​Obstetrics and gynecology.</li></ul>​For this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO), rural residency programs:<ul><li>​Are accredited physician residency programs.</li><li>​Train residents in clinical training sites that are physically located in a rural area as defined by <a href="https://data.hrsa.gov/topics/rural-health/rural-health-eligibility">HRSA’s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP)</a> for greater than 50 percent of their total time in residency.</li><li>​Focus on preparing physicians to practice in rural communities.&nbsp;</li></ul>

Rural Residency Planning and Development Program

​​This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding under the Rural Health Research Dissemination Program. The purpose of this program is to fund an entity to disseminate and promote rural health services research to broad audiences, such as decision makers and rural stakeholders at national, state, and community levels. FORHP funds health services research through the Rural Health Research Center (RHRC) Program and other cooperative agreements. The successful applicant for this program will develop and maintain a website that catalogs this research so that it is easily and freely accessible to the public. The successful applicant will also develop and maintain strategies to disseminate this research through a variety of innovative mechanisms including (but not limited to) a listserv, social media accounts, presentations, and exhibits at national conferences, and webinars.​&nbsp;

Rural Health Research Dissemination Program

​​This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding under the Rapid Response Rural Data Analysis and Issue Specific Rural Research Studies Program. This program will fund one entity to provide rural stakeholders with timely access to data analysis on pressing rural health issues. The goal of this award is to fund analysis that furthers understanding on emerging factors that affect rural health to improve health care in rural America. ​&nbsp;

Rapid Response Rural Data Analysis and Issue Specific Rural Research Studies

The Technology-enabled Collaborative Learning Program will support the use of technology-enabled collaborative learning to improve retention of health care providers and increase access to health care services in rural and underserved areas and populations.

To be eligible, an entity must provide, or support the provision of, health care services in rural areas, frontier areas, health professional shortage areas, or medically underserved areas, or to medically underserved populations or Native Americans, including Indian Tribes, Tribal organizations, and urban Indian organizations.

Technology-enabled Collaborative Learning Program

The purpose of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Part C Capacity Development program is to strengthen organizational capacity to increase capacity to develop, enhance, or expand access to high quality HIV primary health care services for low-income people with HIV. The proposed activity should be of a short-term nature and should be completed by the end of the one-year funding opportunity period of performance. Activities fall under two categories: HIV Care Innovation and Infrastructure Development.

Public or private, non-profit, community-based organization, and tribal (governments, organizations). Foreign entities are not eligible for this award. (&sect; 2652 of the PHS Act).
