Have a current 501(c)(3) ruling from the IRS. | Located in Ohio or selected counties in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York and Wisconsin. | Provide evidence of proper financial stewardship. | Financial support from 100% of board members. | Have written policies on adoption procedures, spaying/neutering companion animals leaving the agency, display/release of wildlife, and keep records on intake/disposition of all animals. | Annual revenue for basic animal sheltering, rescue, and care activities from sustainable sources.

Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust Grants

General grants to organizations. Grant requests should be written and include a cover letter with full contact information, a description of the requesting organization, its mission and general operational budget, a detailed description of the project/program, grant budget and schedule, and a description of how success will be measured and evaluated. Grant periods may extend over two or more years and a brief report upon completion is required.

Requests with no contact information may not be considered | Organizations generally awarded no more than once every 3 years (must wait 3 years before re-award)

James E. Dutton Foundation Grants

General grantmaking program: instructions for submitting Letters of Inquiry and full proposals via the Foundation's applicant portal; proposals and LOIs are reviewed quarterly.

Must be a 501(c)(3) or 509(a)2 public charity unless applying with a fiscal sponsor | Foundation may not grant to an organization for a total of more than two-thirds of its annual budget

THE PARK FOUNDATION Grants

Invitation-only grantmaking for nonprofit organizations aligned with the Trust's giving areas (Helping People in Need; Protecting Animals and Nature; Enriching Community Life); applicants must contact a Trust program officer and, if invited, will submit an application via the Trust's online grants management system.

Nonprofit organizations located in and serving Marion County, Indiana or Maricopa County, Arizona | Applications are by invitation only (the Trust does not accept unsolicited applications) | Will not consider grants for international activities, academic research, sectarian purposes, programs that promote religious doctrine, or political campaigns | Will not consider grants for health programs except those related to the visually impaired | Will not consider requests for programs that target those currently incarcerated, exiting the criminal justice system, or recently released (programs for children of incarcerated individuals or youth in foster care will be considered)

Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust Grants

General grantmaking to nonprofit organizations; cycles alternate between people-focused funding (poverty alleviation, youth education, improved health outcomes) and an animal-focused cycle (animal welfare/protection). Eligibility and application windows are listed on the foundation's application page.

Chandramohan Family Foundation Grants

The Trustees meet several times a year, and the Contributionship accepts and processes applications for grants throughout the year. All applications and progress reports must be submitted online via the Blackbaud/YourCause portal.

The Contributionship does not fund the costs or expenses of existing staff allocated to a project it is asked to support. | The Trustees do not consider unsolicited operating proposals or operating seed money requests. | Organizations that have received a grant must 'rest' for a calendar year before submitting a new proposal. | Grant applications from an organization known to have discriminatory policies will not be considered.

McLean Contributionship Grants

The Tinty Foundation primarily makes grants to charitable organizations (501(c)(3), 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2)). The foundation tends to fund general operating or capacity building for organizations with an annual operating budget less than $1 million, programs focused on direct services, and smaller or grassroots organizations/new projects.

Must be a 501(c)(3) public charity (509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2)). | Letter of inquiry (LOI) required as the first step. | No grants to individuals (scholarships/loans to individuals not made). | Does not make grants to other private foundations. | 509(a)(3) supporting organizations are ineligible unless they can demonstrate they are neither Type I/II controlled by insiders nor a Type III unless functionally integrated.
