About this program
HFNJ’s most common application type is a 12-month grant to support a specific project; every proposal must adhere to HFNJ’s Grant Guidelines and be submitted through the Foundation’s online application portal.
Eligibility
- Must be a private nonprofit with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3)
- Not a private foundation
- Organizations serving Newark/greater Newark or the Jewish community of Greater MetroWest NJ (Essex, Morris, Somerset, Union, parts of Sussex) are eligible
