About this program

Production Grants of $10,000 are awarded for the production of new works ready to premiere in the coming year; funds must be used toward the puppetry in the piece.

Eligibility

• Awards can be made only to IRS tax-exempt organizations (501(c)(3))
• applicants without 501(c)(3) must apply through a fiscal sponsor
• Projects must be presented in the United States
• projects that will only take place outside of the United States are not eligible
• Artists who received a grant in the previous year are not eligible to submit a proposal in the current year
• The Foundation does not fund publications, parades, pageants, exhibitions, spectacle, festivals, film or television projects
• No funding for projects for school credit, teaching workshops, education or outreach activities, or puppetry performed by students
• No funding for purely digital performance, muppet-style puppetry, or traditional puppetry as listed in exclusions
