About this program

Competitive Adams County Grants focused on emerging community needs; may be operating grants to develop nonprofit infrastructure or program grants to make a sustained difference. Grants of up to $25,000 are available.

Eligibility

• Must be a nonprofit with tax-exempt status under IRS Section 501(c)(3)
• Must serve Adams County residents
• Organizations with outstanding Adams County Grants Final Reports are ineligible
• Organizations that are not tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) Public Charity are ineligible
• Organizations based outside Adams County are ineligible unless it can be clearly demonstrated Adams County residents will benefit
• Grants will not be made to individuals
• Private foundations are ineligible
• No funding for projects aimed at promoting a particular religion or construction projects for religious institutions
• No funding for programs at private schools that benefit only their students
• No funding for political campaigns or direct lobbying
