About this program

Makes grants for general operations, programs or projects, capacity building, planning and evaluation in support of community development activities primarily within Super Neighborhood 52.

Eligibility

• Must be a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization (no individuals).
• Primarily serve Super Neighborhood 52 / Houston area (generally not eligible if not in Houston area).
• Not for annual fund drives.
• Not for capital campaigns.
• Not for direct mail or other mass solicitations.
• Not for endowments.
• Not for grants that impose the exercise of “expenditure responsibility” (e.g., private operating foundations or certain support organizations).
• Not for houses of worship.
• Not for medical or scientific research projects or organizations that target a specific disease.
• Not for parochial or private primary and secondary schools.
