The Opportunity Fund awards grants to organizations with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and certain governmental entities. Funding categories include the Arts and Social & Economic Justice.

Must have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status or be a qualifying governmental entity | No grants to organizations located outside of the United States | No grants to individuals | Arts applicants: organizations should have annual budgets of $1.5 million or less | If using a fiscal sponsor, submit a written fiscal sponsorship agreement dated and signed by both parties

Opportunity Fund Grants

General grantmaking to nonprofit organizations; cycles alternate between people-focused funding (poverty alleviation, youth education, improved health outcomes) and an animal-focused cycle (animal welfare/protection). The Indigenous Tomorrows Fund

The Trustees meet several times a year, and the Contributionship accepts and processes applications for grants throughout the year. All applications and progress reports must be submitted online via the Blackbaud/YourCause portal.

The Contributionship does not fund the costs or expenses of existing staff allocated to a project it is asked to support. | The Trustees do not consider unsolicited operating proposals or operating seed money requests. | Organizations that have received a grant must 'rest' for a calendar year before submitting a new proposal. | Grant applications from an organization known to have discriminatory policies will not be considered.
