About this program

The Child & Family Well-Being program funds accredited organizations and other nonprofit groups in North Carolina and South Carolina serving children, youth and families who have experienced or are at risk of child abuse or neglect. Funding is divided into three categories: implementation support for evidence-based programs, advancing innovation, and advocating for system improvements.

Eligibility
  • Applicant organization must be an accredited organization or other nonprofit group located in North Carolina or South Carolina.
  • Projects must serve children, youth and families who have experienced or are at imminent risk of child abuse or neglect.
  • Eligible organizations must have two years of audited financial statements.
  • No grants to public schools.
  • Residential facilities must be located in the Carolinas to be eligible.
  • We do not support startups.
  • We do not support congregate care (funding may go to other aspects of a service array).
  • Child care/early education/afterschool programs currently fall outside of funding areas.
