About this program
Grants awarded to nonprofit public charitable organizations (tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3)) serving disadvantaged young people; applicants begin with a Letter of Inquiry submitted through the Foundation's Grant Portal.
Eligibility
- Must be a nonprofit public charitable organization tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3)
- Programs must operate in New York City or directly serve New York City youth
- No grants to individuals
- no emergency assistance
- Do not support medical research, direct provision of health care or religious education
- Submit a Letter of Inquiry through the Grant Portal and upload organization budget, program budget, and list of board members
- After three years, most organizations will be ineligible to receive additional grants for at least a three-year period
