SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
About this foundation
Founded in 1950 to build and support a new hospital, the Southern Oklahoma Memorial Foundation converted to a private, grantmaking foundation after the hospital sale in 1996. The foundation gives priority to health-related services and education while also considering social services, civic, and cultural activities that improve quality of life in Ardmore and surrounding areas. Grants are made to Oklahoma nonprofit organizations located within or providing direct service to a 50-mile radius of Ardmore. The board and staff manage quarterly review cycles and provide an application form after an initial inquiry.
