About this foundation

Started and endowed by Patterson employees, the Patterson Foundation awards quarterly grants to nonprofit organizations, funds scholarships for employees' children, and encourages employee volunteerism through a Dollars for Doers program. The foundation focuses grantmaking on oral health, dental events, assistance dog organizations and FFA/agricultural education. It operates a two-step application process (LOI then full application) via an online grants management system and reviews requests quarterly. Grants are typically single-year awards and grantees submit follow-up reports within a year.
