About this foundation

Pensacola Sports is Florida’s first sports commission, founded in 1955. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on event management, sports tourism promotion and community development. The organization administers grant programs, including Escambia County-funded Sports Tourism Grants and annual Pensacola Sports Community Grants, to nonprofits, organizations and groups that align with its mission. Funding is generated from partnerships and event revenues; Sports Tourism Grants have quarterly deadlines while Community Grants use an annual application with downloadable packets.
