The community grants are administered by Pensacola Sports through an annual application process to support development, education, promotion and recognition of youth sports, amateur sports and athletic excellence.

PENSACOLA SPORTS COMMUNITY GRANTS

Grants to honor AJ Blain's legacy, reflecting a family foundation focus on leadership growth and development, aviation, and education; requests are reviewed bi‑annually.

AJ Blain Foundation Grants

A participatory grantmaking initiative led by Native Americans in Philanthropy that supports Indigenous youth leadership and community-defined solutions; in 2026 the fund will invest $1.65M to expand support for Native-led solutions.

The Indigenous Tomorrows Fund

Grants focusing on art, music, dance, drama, and recreation for children with special needs; applicants should complete the online application and provide a detailed budget.

Applicant must be a non-profit organization or an individual applying for a service or support. | All programs must serve children with special needs. | Inclusive programs must have no less than 1/3 of the participants with disabilities. | Complete all sections of the grant application and submit all materials by the deadline. | Programs may receive grant funding once per calendar year (individuals are not limited).

Theresa Foundation Grant Program

The Tinty Foundation primarily makes grants to charitable organizations (501(c)(3), 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2)). The foundation tends to fund general operating or capacity building for organizations with an annual operating budget less than $1 million, programs focused on direct services, and smaller or grassroots organizations/new projects.

Must be a 501(c)(3) public charity (509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2)). | Letter of inquiry (LOI) required as the first step. | No grants to individuals (scholarships/loans to individuals not made). | Does not make grants to other private foundations. | 509(a)(3) supporting organizations are ineligible unless they can demonstrate they are neither Type I/II controlled by insiders nor a Type III unless functionally integrated.

Tinty Foundation Grants

The Foundation accepts Letters of Interest year-round from eligible U.S. 501(c)(3) public charities; formal applications are by invitation only and, if invited, are due Jan 15 or July 15.

Must be a public charity recognized as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) | Must be a U.S.-based organization (entities outside the USA will not be considered) | Must be in good standing and currently in positive financial standing (e.g., no consecutive years of net losses or significant operating/cumulative deficit) | Grant requests submitted without an invitation will not be considered | Walters Foundation will not consider funding individuals, government agencies, loans, political campaigns, endowments, or legislative lobbying efforts

Walters Foundation Grants

THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES SMALL GRANTS ($250-$2000) TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND IN SOME CASES, INDIVIDUALS DEMONSTRATING NEED TO IMPROVE FUTURE OUTCOMES.

Letter of inquiry (LOI) required | Applicant resume required | Proposed budget for expenditure of potential grant funds required | Documentary proof of non-profit IRS tax-exempt status (if applicable) | Non-profit prior year and current year-to-date balance sheet and income statement (if applicable) | Must be a qualifying distribution recipient per IRS 501(c)(3) and exempt under 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2) (for organizational applicants)

Small Grants Program

Invests in initiatives that expand access to high-quality financial education (especially for youth and young adults) and build educator capacity; supports creative approaches to advancing financial literacy.
