About this foundation

The PG&E Corporation Foundation is described on the site as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit sponsored by PG&E Corporation. The foundation partners with the California Fire Foundation on a multi-year Wildfire Safety and Preparedness Program, providing funding for equipment, vegetation management, outreach and preparedness in high fire-risk communities. The 2026 program increases competitive grant awards and targets underserved communities in PG&E’s service area. Funding has supported protective equipment, chipping and prescribed burns and in-language outreach.
