Women & Girls

The Oak Hill Fund is a private family foundation (formed in 2002) that operates a Healthy People – Healthy Planet portfolio of six program areas and accepts letters of inquiry via an online grantee portal for open programs. It only awards grants to organizations tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3).

Must be tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code | No funding for individuals, capital campaigns, endowments, or book and film writing/publication

Reproductive Health, Rights, & Justice

The Chrysanta Foundation supports organizations that empower women and aid the environment within their local communities through compassion, collaboration and innovation.

Must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization | No direct donations or grants to individuals | No funding for international organizations (U.S. only) | No funding for fiscally sponsored organizations | No endowments | No political campaigns or legislative lobbying | No projects that exclusively serve religious purposes

Chrysanta Foundation Grants

Promotes creative initiatives for social and environmental justice and women’s rights. Provides support primarily for programs based in New York and North Carolina, and for programs with a nationwide focus. Candidate programs must address violence against women and girls, sexualized violence against children, sex trafficking, reproductive rights, gender bias, environmental justice, racial justice, and immigration.

Sweet Justice Foundation Grants

Provides general operating support and program funding in areas including the environment, social justice, women’s rights, grassroots advocacy, performing arts, and poetry; also supports human rights, peace advocacy, and environmental organizations in Israel (does not fund social service programs in Israel). Applicants begin with a one-page Inquiry Application Form.

Bydale Foundation Grants

The foundation funds work that aligns with its focus areas: beneficial interaction between humans and animals/animal welfare; women's & children’s health, safety and welfare; and early intervention and addiction prevention. Applicants must submit a proposal letter and supporting documents (IRS 501(c)(3) designation, budgets, Form-990, board roster, audited financials/annual report if available).

Must be a 501(c)(3) public charity (Designation and Certification of 501C3 required) | Submit most recent Internal Revenue Service Form-990 (signed by an officer) | Provide current total operating budget and, if applicable, a detailed program budget | Provide a full listing of the current Board of Directors | Include latest complete Independent Audited Financial Statement and Annual Report if available | Letters of Intent, proposals for event sponsorship or endorsements, and funding requests for individuals are not processed

Jks Family Foundation Grants

Supports research that links sociological and linguistic research to social action in the U.S., prioritizing projects that address racism, xenophobia, classism, gender bias, human rights violations, and language/literacy issues with a clear research design and concrete public or community impact.

Must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) and classified as "not a private foundation" under section 509(a). | No grants directly to individuals. | No awards for dissertation research, honoraria, or political purposes. | No operating support or capital grants. | Geographic focus limited to the United States. | Government/municipal agencies are not eligible. | Must not represent the work of a lone academic without an ongoing partnership with a community organization. | Must demonstrate capacity or intent to carry out bona fide research (past track record or credentialed researcher partner).
