Work submitted must have been created between 2016 and 2025 (most recent decade).

Sigourney Award

Grants are given by the Waxahachie Foundation to charitable organizations in Waxahachie and the Waxahachie area. Applications are first considered by the Grants Committee.

Waxahachie Foundation Grants

Provides grants to projects and programs that assist communities in expressing and invigorating their cultural traditions, arts and languages through community engagement and community-building; prioritizes projects organized by the communities being served.

Must be a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code or be fiscally-sponsored by a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. | Must be located within the Puget Sound area. | Organizational budget of no more than $1,000,000. | Must be nondiscriminatory in its policies and practices. | Individuals, for-profit businesses (including LLCs) and 501(c)(4) organizations are ineligible to apply.

Seattle Peoples Fund Grants

The Foundation accepts electronic grant requests via a single application; the Board meets quarterly to consider requests and gives priority to applicants located in and/or serving Fort Wayne and Allen County, IN.

Must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) | Must qualify as a 509(a) public charity | No grants to private individuals | No grants for general fund drives, annual charitable appeals, or to influence legislation or elections | No grants to an organization for distribution to ultimate beneficiaries of its own choosing

M.E. Raker Foundation Grants

The Foundation reviews grants for projects or programs that primarily serve residents of Eastern Niagara County and considers requests in listed primary funding areas (arts & cultural programs, community improvement, education, local historical preservation, health & wellness (non-clinical), human services, senior programs, youth programs). Applicants begin with a Letter of Inquiry submitted via the Grant Portal.

Must be a 501(c)(3) (applying agencies must provide a copy of their 501c3 IRS determination letter) | Requests must primarily serve residents of Eastern Niagara County (applications from outside Niagara County considered only in certain cases)

Grigg Lewis Foundation Grants

Provides general operating support to New York City–based performing arts organizations and adds a small number of new organizations to its roster each year.

Organizations must be a 501(c)(3) or be fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3). | 501(c)(3)s must be incorporated in New York State and based in New York City. | Fiscally sponsored organizations must be based in New York City. | Organizations must have three years of operating budgets (both revenue and expenses) that are over $250,000. | Organizations must be able to provide an audit, a CPA’s review report, and/or 990 tax form. | Organizations must not be current recipients of any Gilman-funded regranting programs. | Must be a performing arts organization (generative performing arts companies, presenters/venues, or service organizations supporting the sector).

Howard Gilman Foundation Grants

Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) in Franklin, IN manages an annual grants program and scholarships. The site publishes grant cycles, deadlines, and an online grant management program for nonprofits serving Johnson County residents.

Be a charitable, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization, college/university, religious entity, or government unit | Use the grant for work that serves the people of North Carolina | ZSR is legally prohibited from funding voter registration | No funding for work that supports or opposes individual candidates or influences election outcomes | Does not fund academic and medical research | Does not fund capital campaigns, building projects, or renovations | Does not fund conferences, seminars, symposiums, fundraising events, civic clubs, or endowment funds | Does not fund equipment, furniture, computer purchases, land purchases, plant species preservation, or historic preservation | Does not fund projects that focus exclusively on direct services (e.g., shelters, health care) or payment of debts | Overhead and indirect costs for colleges and universities, scholarships, and private business ventures are not funded
