The Oak Hill Fund is a private family foundation (formed in 2002) that operates a Healthy People – Healthy Planet portfolio of six program areas and accepts letters of inquiry via an online grantee portal for open programs. It only awards grants to organizations tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3).

Must be tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code | No funding for individuals, capital campaigns, endowments, or book and film writing/publication

Reproductive Health, Rights, & Justice

Organizations invited by a member of the Seabury Family may apply for up to $25,000 in general operating or project/program support.

Must be a 501(c)(3) organization invited by a Seabury Family sponsor | Organizations with annual operating expenses in excess of $2.5 million may only apply for project/program support | No funding for religious activities, political campaigns, or legislative lobbying

Family Grants

Funds bold, basic scientific research with transformative potential to improve human health; supports early-stage discoveries at medical research universities and scientific institutions (nonprofits). The application follows an LOI → invitation → formal proposal flow managed through the portal.

Medical research universities and scientific institutions that are nonprofit organizations | Institutions based outside the United States are ineligible | Institutions that do not employ their own investigators are ineligible | Private foundations or third-party organizations that provide funding to other organizations are ineligible | Grants to individuals are ineligible | Institutional nomination is required before submitting a Letter of Intent | Each organization may submit up to three (3) institute-nominated LOI applications per grant cycle | Collaborating institutions and sub‑awardees must be nonprofit organizations

Mathers Grant Awards Program

Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to select Respite for All programs to create sustainable enhancements that support Alzheimer’s and dementia care partners beyond respite.

Established programs within the Respite for All network are eligible to apply | Grants will be awarded to the program’s faith community, its own 501(c)(3) entity, or another qualified 501(c)(3) organization acting as its fiscal sponsor | Not eligible: general operating expenses or ongoing respite program support | Not eligible: respite program scholarships | Not eligible: indirect costs, administrative fees, or host organization overhead

Respite for All Enhancement Grant

The Gorman Foundation provides grants to charities working in areas of education, medicine, research, community and environmental conservation. Applicants must be an IRS 501(c)3 and submit their IRS determination letter.

The Gorman Foundation Grants

Supports capital projects (construction or purchase of facilities, building renovations, purchase of capital equipment and furnishings, and other one-time capital needs).

Must be a nonprofit organization with valid 501(c)(3) public charity status (not a private foundation) | Must be classified as a public charity under Sections 509(a)(1) or (2) | Geographic restriction: New York City (all 5 boroughs) or Essex, Morris, or Union County, NJ | No more than one grant to an organization in a calendar year | No grants for operating support, endowment, special events, sponsorships, annual fundraising campaigns, or through fiscal sponsors or agents | Must provide audited financial report for most recent fiscal year or most recent Form 990 if no audit | Must provide copy of organization's 501(c)(3) and 509(a) IRS ruling letters | Previous grantees must provide Grant Reports for any previous grants before a new proposal will be considered

The Hyde and Watson Foundation Grants

Applications are accepted via a required Letter of Intent (LOI) during two annual cycles (Spring and Fall); applicants must register and submit the LOI electronically and, if approved, will be invited to complete a full application.
