CSFF may provide additional funding opportunities to address critical emerging community needs; procedures and reporting are developed individually for each initiative (examples include Behavioral Health in the Schools Initiative, COVID-19 Local Funding Support, Nonprofit Board Leadership Initiative, Schecky Youth Wellbeing Initiative).

Special Initiatives

THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES SMALL GRANTS ($250-$2000) TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND IN SOME CASES, INDIVIDUALS DEMONSTRATING NEED TO IMPROVE FUTURE OUTCOMES.

Letter of inquiry (LOI) required | Applicant resume required | Proposed budget for expenditure of potential grant funds required | Documentary proof of non-profit IRS tax-exempt status (if applicable) | Non-profit prior year and current year-to-date balance sheet and income statement (if applicable) | Must be a qualifying distribution recipient per IRS 501(c)(3) and exempt under 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2) (for organizational applicants)

Small Grants Program

Annual award recognizing work that strengthens or reimagines psychoanalysis; accepts individuals, teams, and organizations and honors completed work from the most recent decade.

Work submitted must have been created between 2016 and 2025 (most recent decade).

Sigourney Award

The Youth Advocacy Project champions community partnerships in Routt County that create equitable opportunities in health, education, and well-being for youth and families to achieve their optimal potential.

Youth Advocacy Project (YAP)

Invests in initiatives that expand access to high-quality financial education (especially for youth and young adults) and build educator capacity; supports creative approaches to advancing financial literacy.

Must be a charitable organization with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status provided by the IRS | Must comply with The Charles Schwab Corporation's nondiscrimination policy | Not eligible: Individuals | Not eligible: Private foundations | Not eligible: Individual pre-K–12 schools or school-related activities at individual schools | Not eligible: Booster clubs, bands, or athletic teams/leagues | Not eligible: Organizations that are political in nature | Not eligible: Private clubs and fraternal or social organizations

Schwab Moneywise Momentum Grants

Organizations invited by a member of the Seabury Family may apply for up to $25,000 in general operating or project/program support.

Must be a 501(c)(3) organization invited by a Seabury Family sponsor | Organizations with annual operating expenses in excess of $2.5 million may only apply for project/program support | No funding for religious activities, political campaigns, or legislative lobbying

Family Grants

Supports Black and Indigenous-led social justice organizations and projects in the U.S.; awards of up to $10,000 and applicants complete a brief "get to know you" questionnaire.

AFSC Reparative Justice & Healing Fund

We work to support youth climate activists in various ways. We offer material support for actions, which can include funding for consultants, transportation, and equipment. We also support educational and media initiatives, as well as creative projects.
